A gruelling three-day cycle from Weston-super-Mare to Land’s End, in Cornwall, has been completed for charity.

A team of six staff members, plus two support drivers, from Dunelm, in Marchfields Way, cycled more than 200 miles to raise money for Home Start, one of the country’s leading support charities for families facing various difficulties.

The group have raised almost £1,500, but are looking for an extra £1,000 now their challenge has been completed.

Organiser Sam Palmer said: “We rode from 72 miles Weston to Exeter on the first day, Exeter to Bodmin on the second day, which was 74 miles, then finished the final 65 miles on day three.

“It was challenging both physically and mentally, but we all supported each other as a group and reminded ourselves of the cause we were doing this for.”
