WESTON’S own pretender to the King of Pop’s throne is keeping his fingers crossed that he has made it through to the next round on Britain’s Got Talent.

Colby Preece, a 17-year-old animal care student at Weston College, performed his Michael Jackson tribute routine at auditions for the show in Cardiff on November 30, and will find out if he made the cut in February.

Colby, who performed a routine taking in such Jackson favourites as Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and Man in the Mirror, said: “One of the production teams at the show said I was one of the best lookalikes they had every seen on the show.

“I think it went well on the day, but now I’ve got a long nervous wait to see if I’ve made it through.”
