THE Café, a sitcom set in Weston and starring comedy actor Ralf Little, will make its debut on national television tonight.
The comedy was written by Little and Weston-born writer Michelle Terry, and the first two episodes will debut on Sky1 at 9pm tonight.
The programme is set in a café run by three generations of the same family, with Michelle playing Sarah, a former school sweetheart of Little’s character, and the youngest member of the family.
He plays Richard, a care home assistant by day and a musician by night.
His former Royle Family star Craig Cash directed the comedy, which is partially based on former Priory Community School pupil Terry’s memories of the resort.
The eponymous café is based near Marine Lake on Weston’s seafront, with filming taking place there and in other locations around the town, over the summer.
