Woman arrested following police pursuit

A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failure to stop and dangerous driving.

At 10am this morning (Fri) a black VW Golf failed to stop for police in the Walliscote Road area.

The car was pursued by police and eventually stopped nearby around Lonsdale Avenue.

Inspector Liz Hughes said the woman, aged in her 20s, is currently in police custody.
