A dance academy was launched at @Worle, in New Bristol Road, with the support of the Supernovas cheerleading team, in September 2017.

A youth and junior team made up of 16 girls went along to the ICC Welsh
Open dance and cheerleading championships in Newport, and both came away with gold in their categories.

It means they have qualified for the cheer and dance national championships to be held in 2019.

The teams meet at @Worle on Sunday mornings, and they learn street and hip hop routines.

An open session for anyone to take part in is held on Sundays at 10am.

The teams, called Bellatrix and Halo, are coached by Weston College student Bella Febry, who is part of the Supernovas team.
