The Big Worle group put on the event at Becket Primary School on Sunday and it was a ‘huge success’.

The group’s co-chair Tony Pass said: “It was really good. It was just a real family day and everybody who came just had a really good time.

“We had a hog roast and we had to go out and buy more buns because it was so busy.

“We had shield designing and facepainting, bouncy castles which the kids were just running around all day.

“The weather was dry, it was a bit cloudy but it was warm which made for the perfect weather, it wasn’t too hot.

“I am so pleased that the community came and just made it a huge success.”
