GROVE Park will be filled with entertainment during the return of the YMCA’s successful Summer Starter event.

The event will provide a range of activities and the park’s bandstand – supported by Weston College’s music department – will host performances from young musicians, bands, dancers and more.

The event aims to engage young people and encourage them to get more involved in their community.

Face-painting, a bouncy castle assault course, segways, sports challenges and a climbing wall will also be part of the park throughout the day.

Weston Toy Library, which is based at St Anne’s Primary School in West Wick, will be showcasing its scheme and providing a soft play area for children.

Weston Youth Council will also be supporting and fundraising at the event.

Entry to Summer Starter will be free for children of all ages.

The event will take place on July 25 and will run between 10am and 6pm.
