Young dancers from a Weston studio gave a fitting demonstration of their talents at a hit show this week.

Members of The Dance Studio, aged from three to 18, performed in two successful shows at The Playhouse on Saturday and Sunday. Their show, As The Page Turns, earned strong ovations from packed audiences, with one parent telling organisers the production was ‘overwhelming and utterly amazing’.

Praise was heaped upon the group’s outstanding choreography, as well as the ‘superb’ costumes and scenery.

The successful show comes hot on the heels of recent success at the North Devon and Longwell Green Eisteddfods, where students won 17 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals, plus five overall high mark trophies.

The Dance Company is based in Weston’s Churchill Road, but also has branches in Cheddar and Congresbury.
