A trust is looking to give away grants to young people to help pursue their dreams and further their education.

The Cheddar Youth Trust is inviting applications from young people living in the village.

Applicants must be aged five to 25 years old and must have lived in the village for 12 months or more.

Trust chairman Clive Panchaud said: “We welcome applications from anyone who wants help to develop their talents, further their education or give service to communities here or abroad.

“Last year we made grants to a number of young people, including help with educational costs, sports expenses and work experience funding.”

Young people can apply by downloading an application from the trust’s website at

You can also get a form from BGW Solicitors, in Bath Street.

All applications must be submitted to the trustees no later than April 30.
