A couple of young players competing in the Avon Under-16s winter league have won promotion to Division One for Weston Tennis Club.
Marcus Llewellyn,14, and Jack Spiers,15, are both playing in their second season and picked up five wins from their six encounters with opposing clubs.
A match format of two singles and one doubles saw the two teenagers display their talents throughout the winter season, winning a high per cent of their matches to achieve a second place finish in their division and earn promotion.
Weston Tennis Club, based in Neva Road, welcomes potential new members of all ages and abilities. Head Coach Jamie Allen holds regular junior sessions throughout the week.
