Weston-super-Mare AFC have confirmed that right winger Opi Edwards will be joining Sholing FC on loan.

Edwards made 12 appearances for The Seagulls this season, including featuring in a 4-0 victory over Worthing and a 4-2 win over Welling.

The Bristol born attacker spent two years in The Robins’ youth academy where he ended up making four appearances for their first team.

After his stint at Bristol Edwards spent time at various clubs including Bath City, Solihull Moors, Torquay United, and League Two team Forest Green Rovers.

He joined from Bath City in July last year after his second stint with the Southwest city, but before that Edwards spent time in America playing for Rochester New York FC in the MLS Next Pro League, the reserve league for America’s Major League Soccer.

Weston AFC have wished Edwards luck during his loan spell at Sholing FC where he will be competing in the Southern League Premier South.
