Weston Rugby stalwart Sam Coles has played his last ever game for the club.
The Weston RFC legend announced that last weekends match against Luctonians would be his final game for the club.
The loose-head prop has played for the club at every level, throughout the youth teams and appearances for every senior squad throughout his eight-year career with the club.
Coles made his debut in the first in 2015 and quickly became a mainstay in the first team.
After making 13 appearances for the seaside club in the 2015/16 season, Coles went on to be top three in appearances for his squad for next eight consecutive seasons, including the 2017/18 where he made 28 appearances without missing a single game.
He was also a vital part of Weston’s 2016/17 where his 27 appearances and three tries helped his team gain promotion to the Regional 1 South West league.
Coles is not the only first team player leaving at the end of this season though, Kiwi centre Bradley McPate says goodbye to the club as he returns back to a land down under, but the Weston club are hopeful of re-signing him in the future.
