GLORIOUS weather greeted anglers at Shiplate Farm Fisheries for their latest matches on three lakes.

The fishing was proving harder for some than others as the fish attempted to resume feeding after spending most of the last three days spawning.

Most anglers were fishing on pellet and the following results give an indication of feeding pattern as the match held on the three lakes between Bristol’s PSV/Fry’s got underway.

Westpool (15 pegs): Dean Harvey (peg 15) 57lb 2oz; Pete Sivill (peg 6) 36lb 2oz; Will Dearlove (peg 2) 18lb 8oz. Silvers went to Chris Gay (peg 14) 10lb 6oz and Steve Evans (peg 8) 5lb 14oz.

Hawthorns (15 pegs): Mike Smith (peg 13) 47lb 6oz; Alan Healey (peg 7) 44lb 10oz also Silvers 7lb 8oz; Dave Evans (peg 15) 37lb. Silvers winner was Mike Fergi (peg 1) 5lb 4oz.

Main Lake (22 pegs): Steve Preece (peg 15) 45lb 1oz; Derek Cole (peg 11) 19lb 8oz also Silvers 15lb 4oz; John Gingell (peg 13a) 12lb 1oz.
