Duo capture British titles

A bodybuilding couple from Weston have both become British champions and have represented GB at the world championships.

A Weston couple has taken the bodybuilding world by storm, becoming British champions and representing GB at the world championships.

Anna Golebiowska, aged 28 and Jacub Loza (32), opened Sport Empire, a sports supplement shop in Orchard Street, Weston, last year and started to compete as athletes.

They competed a few times since May and qualified for the British finals of two federations – the UKUP and PCA.

In the PCA British finals Anna took first place in bikini-trained category and became British champion, while Jakub took sixth place in classic bodybuilding category, both qualifying for the PCA World Championships.

Both received gold pro cards which qualified the pair to compete as a pro athletes rather than amateur.

The pair must keep their body condition to be able to compete with the best pro competitors around the world.

At the world championships, Anna took fifth place in her category. Jakub finished outside the top six, but awaiting the feedback to find out his final position.
