St Andrews bowler Imogen Cracknell topped a memorable week when she was named in the England Under-18 team for a test match against Wales at Clevedon.

A memorable week for local bowler Imogen Cracknell was capped on Tuesday when she was named in the England Under-18 team for a test match against Wales at Clevedon in mid-September.

The 15-year-old Priory School pupil, a member of St Andrews Bowling Club, Weston, heard the great news just a couple of days after she had won the Weston Ladies’ Open Tournament singles championship at Clarence Park.

She will be a member of a 12-strong mixed team for the two-day match against Wales on September 16 and 17. Her selection follows a series of impressive performances this season and attendance at the elite Bowls England Academy.
