SOME students from the Oldmixon and Uphill Karate Kai entered the Western Karate Union National Championships at Bradley Stoke and came back with quite a haul of medals between them. Connor Macmillan, gold medal boys' 5'3-5'9 Kumite; Sarah Clark, silver medal, ladies' open Kumite;Scarlett Macmillan, silver medal, cadet girls' Kumite; Daniel Oseman, silver medal, fourth and fifth Kyu Kata; Michael Oseman, silver medal, boys' 4'9-5'3 Kumite; Scarlett MacMillan, bronze medal, 16-plus Brown Belt Kata; Stephen Andreozzi, bronze medal, senior male Black Belt Kata; Emma Knight, bronze medal, girls' 4-9-5'3 Kumite; Joshua Page, bronze medal, boys to age nine Kumite; Sarah, Scarlett and Maria, bronze medal, ladies' team Kumite. Also a special mention for Sarah Clark who has been selected to represent England at the European Regional Championships in Paris in June.
