Lympsham Airways defeated Athletico by four wickets in Division 1 of the Weston Proper Job Midweek League.

Jack Luff top scored with 44 and Craig Scrivens followed his 2-20 with 25, as the Airways reached their target with four wickets in hand.

The Airways also enjoyed a narrow victory when they played the Windsor Castle. Batting first Jamie Howson (51) and Hayden Tuttiet (44) scored the bulk of the runs in a total of 154-7. Sam Trego took 2-25 and Anthony Bassidy 2-21. Trego anchored the reply with 41, but Tom Gooding claimed 5-12 runs as the Windsor finished 15 runs short.

Only Keith Jackson with 31 made any impression with the bat as Locking Castle struggled against the bowling of C Neate (2-17) and Nathan Handcock (2-22), finishing on 127-9. In reply, the Presidents enjoyed one of their more comfortable victories as they ran out eight-wicket winners thanks to the efforts of Andy Platts (42), Dave Holland (39 not out) and Nathan Hancock (37 not out).

In a more typical Presidents encounter against Parpagon Carriers, the match finished all square. Nathan Hancock made 59 not out and Andy Platt 24 as the Presidents posted 116-7.

Geraint Reynolds put the Carriers on the road to victory with 42, but with two required off the last ball, they could only manage a single.
