First running medals for novices

Novice runners coached by Sarah Flourentzou all finished the Cardiff 2.4 family fun run.

Coach Sarah Flourentzou took her team of runners to run in the Cardiff 2.4k family fun run, with all completing and getting their first running medals.

The next day, Sarah and team members Mark Russ and Nicole Flourentzou ran in the Cardiff Half Marathon, along with team sponsor James Lucas.

This was Mark and Nicole’s first official half marathon and they set a time of two hours 30 minutes. The team of four ran together and all crossed the line in 2.28.

A record 25,000 runners entered the race this year and Sarah said: “It was brilliant to bring my team to Cardiff to share in a massive running event with a great atmosphere and see all their hard work and effort pay off when they crossed the finish line with big smiles on their faces.”
