Weston Football Club will host Bristol Rovers in the pick of their pre-season friendlies ahead of next season.

The first few pre-season fixtures have been announced this week and will see the League One side head to the Woodspring Stadium on July 17.

Darrell Clarke’s side finished in mid-table last season and will provide tough opposition for the Seagulls ahead of their National League South campaign.

The clubs met last season in pre-season with the Pirates beating Weston 3-0.

So far Weston have announced three pre-season fixtures for July but more will be announced once the opposition have confirmed.

The games announced so far are (all 7.45pm kick-off):

July 4 – Brimscombe & Thrupp (away)

July 17 - Bristol Rovers FC (home)

July 20 - Frome Town (away)

Tickets for the Bristol Rovers game will be £3-12 and family tickets will be available.
