Locking Park went to the top of the Weston & District League Division 1 with a 4-0 victory over Wrington Redhill Reserves.

A well-taken brace of goals from Chris Green saw Locking Park join Portishead Caledonian at the top of Weston and District League Division 1.

It was the same old story for Wrington, who competed well but now slip to the bottom of the table as Portishead beat KVFC 4-0.

Wrington’s James Williams pulled off a fine point blank save before Locking scored from a breakaway. Before Wrington could settle again, three similar breakaways saw Locking seal the match with goals for Aiden Dancer and the two for Green.

After the break, a quick throw saw Faulkner link with Johnson, who crossed for Joe Moore to slot home. They went close again from a corner when Holland headed narrowly over.

With Briggs and Clark solid in defence and Curtis giving width, Wrington grew into the game and Briggs set up Johnson for a well-deserved goal.
