Injury-hit Cheddar sign two new players

Injury-hit Cheddar have managed to sign two new players in a bid to get their season back on track.
Injury-hit Cheddar, who were without a game at the weekend, face a crucial few days over the next week, in an attempt to get their season back on track.
The Cheddar manager has however been busy over the past weekend, adding to his squad , with the signing of 18-year-old former Yeovil Town Academy winger Harry Barnes from Southern League outfit Frome Town, together with former Taunton Town midfield utility player Andy Butler from Toolstation Premier Division side Bridport.
Cheddar hope to kick-start their season when they face a tough FA Vase (first qualifying round) tie at home to Radstock Town on Saturday. Hot on the heels of Saturday’s game is an equally tough assignment at Sherborne Town.
Cheddar Reserves travel to Hutton in the Somerset County Division Two Cup and the ladies team travel to Taunton to take on Hamilton.
In other news, the Cheddar’s Reserve team marched on to the second round of the Somerset Senior Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win over Tunley Athletic. Anthony Cleave and Taryn Selway-Joseph on target.
Cheddar Ladies came away from Welton Rovers with a fine 2-1 win over Purnell Reserves, both goals being scored by Valerie Walsh.
