Weston launched their new monthly boardroom competition live on local radio, Star FM 107.7 on Ian Down's breakfast show last Friday morning. It gave one lucky couple the opportunity to visit the Woodspring Stadium for the afternoon and sample full boardroom hospitality and be special guests for the day.The weekend's inaugural winners Andy and Lisa Fairchild and their three children were given a tour of the stadium, met up with the manager and players before the game in the dressing room and physio room and were then able to watch the game from the directors' seating area. They completed their afternoon by being given the opportunity to name their man of the match before presenting the post-match awards in the boardroom, and receiving their own mementos of the day.Mr Fairchild said: "It's been a fantastic afternoon, both my wife and I really enjoyed it. Weston Football Club have really looked after us, it's been fantastic."The result itself - it was brilliant to see Weston win, and a long overdue win - the team played really well and it was great to see that, and it was nice to hear some noise from the fans as well - a great day! My children have been looking eagerly at the fixtures and we will be back again very soon to support the team again."I think it's a great competition and definitely worth having a go, my family have really enjoyed it and we've caught the bug. We're real Seagulls fans now."The next phone-in competition is due to take place on Star FM 107.7's breakfast show on Friday, February 8, with the opportunity for two listeners to win a matchday experience at the Woodspring Stadium.
