The team were runners-up in the Swindon cup competition with outstanding performances from Jerry King and Andy Billingham both netting nine goals each, also Lach Geddes and Simon Telega scoring two apiece.

In the national cup, Weston put in a gutsy performance but lost 2-0 to Stroud in a tight game which could have gone either way. Special mention to John Hembrow and Geddes for outstanding performances over the games.

As a result Weston will go on to represent the South West in the national tournament later this year.

Squad: John Hembrow (c), Gareth Richards, Lach Geddes, Brian Mawford, Neil Evett, Simon Telega, Keith Laughton, Eric George, Andy Billingham, Dave Harris, Danny Ward, Jerry King and Mark Hudson.
