Weston manager Marc McGregor spoke to the Mercury after Monday's match.

Weston have endured a tough start to the campaign, with four losses from their opening seven matches in the National League South.

But the Seagulls’ manager Marc McGregor is remaining upbeat, despite his side languishing in the relegation zone at this early stage of the season.

Over bank holiday weekend, the North Somerset side secured a draw at home to Chippenham after going 2-0 down, but slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Truro City on Monday.

McGregor told the Mercury he hopes to see an improvement defensively and away from home.

But, first up the Seagulls have two home matches to try and get maximum points from.

On Saturday, they host high-flying Havant and Waterlooville and on Tuesday they welcome fellow strugglers Wealdstone.
