Team Mendip took all three points from the encounter with Frome Town.

Team Mendip Ladies 3

Team Mendip travelled to Frome Town for their first game in two weeks and came away with all three points.

On the vast Frome pitch, the home team started strongly and despite some solid defending from the Mendip back four of Sam Crew, Tina Delany, Hayley Bosley and Karmisha Wilson, it was Frome who struck first, a curling shot beating keeper Maciejczyk.

Ellie Orritt pounced on a loose ball and scored from the edge of the Frome box for the equaliser.

The second half saw Mendip gradually take control and the hard-working Steph Goddard provided the perfect cross allowing Orritt to tap in from close range.

Mendip sealed the points with another well-taken goal, this time Tash Crew striking the ball from 15 yards.

PD&CL Building Services girl of the game was Ellie Orritt.
