WESTON ladies celebrated their end of year prize giving presentation with a traditional Christmas dinner, served by members from the men’s section.

In her presentation speech, outgoing captain Sue Radcliffe congratulated all trophy winners and wished everybody a great year of golf in 2011.

With the year drawing to a close, thanks were expressed to all members, club committee members and greenkeeping staff for their support and generosity throughout her year as lady captain.

■ WORLEBURY Golf Club seniors held their AGM recently when their new captain, John Taylor, was installed.

John thanked the outgoing captain, Mike Strang for his sterling work during 2010 and said he looked forward to his year of office. He introduced Kevin Pendergast as his vice-captain.

The Punchday Greensomes and the Roy Connett Salver for the season’s medal winners, fell foul of the severe weather last week and hopefully will be re-scheduled.
