BILLIARDS - KARNY'S Clan went back to the top of the Wrington Vale Billiards League following their 4-0 win over Backwell B.

KARNY'S Clan went back to the top of the Wrington Vale Billiards League following their 4-0 win over Backwell B.

Justin Cole knocked in a 50 break in both games he played, scoring uncharteristically slowly in his first match against George Rowe, but was back to form in his demolition of Bob Selby by 113 in the last game after Bob had taken Brian Harvey close in a nine point defeat.

Lindrums move into second place with a 3-1 win over Zimmers, the highlight of the match being evergreen Geoff Passmore's massive win over Russell Ticer. Geoff scored consistently every time he went to the table leaving Russell nothing to score from.

Backwell A beat Short Frames 3-1 with Martyn Howell knocking in his first 50 break of the season, a 58 in his win over Mike Tozer.

Results: Congresbury Q's 4 (450), Frames Rejects 0 (0); Lindums 3 (441), Zimmers 1 (279); KCs 4 (450), Backwell B 0 (315); Backwell A 3 (414), Short Frames 1 (327).
