KINGFISHERS were riding high after their last convincing win and continued their top form this week, thrashing Wyvern 58-24.

Kingfishers gained an early lead. However, it was quickly lost due to silly mistakes and disjointed play. After a few strategic swaps and a stern team talk, Kings dominated the second quarter and did not look back.

Play was much tighter, with excellent marking, hassling and interceptions from Nadina (C) in particular, who recieved player of the match.

Jane (GS) and Sarah (GA) were as dynamic as ever with pinpoint accurate feeding and gutsy shooting against an aggressive Wyvern defence.

A welcome return to Caroline (GD) who made some flying interceptions and backed up attacking play well.
