Jacob finishes second in his first season

Karting novice Jacob Ashcroft, aged six, has finished second in a national series in just his first season racing.

Six-year-old Jacob Ashcroft finished second in the UK Kart Series at Shennington, rounding off a fantastic first year in karting.

He attends Castle Batch Primary School and has been karting for just over a year. Jacob recently competed at Rye House in the London Cup against the best in the country and came sixth.

Jacob has recently been sponsored by Laser Tools Racing and is competing in a 10-round national championship next year and hopes to better than this year’s result of 14th out of 30.

He competes in Bambino racing which is for five to eight-yearolds (www.bambinokartclub.com and you can follow Jacob on Facebook @jacobashcroftracing or on twitter @jacobashcroft22

He also came 2nd yesterday in the final round.
