More success for motor cyclist Wayne Axon.

LOCAL motorcycle racer Wayne Axon from Locking has had more success on the track.

After a successful meeting to open the season at Brands Hatch, Wayne travelled to Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire to continue with his assault on the North Gloucester road racing newcomer’s championship.

With a good performance in the mini twin’s races, with two seventh place finishes, the newcomer’s race was the last of the day. From a front row start, he went on to win the race by over 16 seconds, and set a new mini twin newcomers lap record

This was followed by round three at Pembray in South Wales, with two full days of racing. Wayne had more success with two second places and two third places. This now puts him 18 points clear at the top of the newcomer’s championship table.

As for the mini twins championship, Wayne is holding fifth spot with a real chance of a top three finish by the end of the season. Wayne is still looking for sponsors. Anyone wishing to help can contact Wayne on 07890 882808.
