Cheddar romped to an emphatic victory over Bristol Telephones to clinch the Tribute 2 North League 2 title.

Cheddar 64 pts

Bristol Telephones 8 pts

Cheddar took on Bristol Telephones in an attempt to secure the Tribute 2 North League title and did not disappoint.

With an impressive display of rugby, the forwards and backs put on a show for the many spectators that showed to support their local team.

Captain Tom Corbett could not be prouder of the effort from those in the club both on and off the pitch.

He said: “Cheddar have been through the mill over the past few years with the senior team being close to folding. However, we have shown the strength and determination that you would expect from much bigger clubs, but the little village club has done very well.”

Huge thanks go to Jed Franklin, this season’s coach, who has supported the club to grow and build on previous seasons to lay a strong platform for next year.

Cheddar have some bright plans for the future, so if you are keen to get involved, be it playing, volunteering or sponsoring, please get in touch.
