Hornets Colts embarked on their end of season tour to Lloret de Mar in Spain.

The tour party travelled down the coast to Barcelona where they were hosted by El Rugby Club CNPN. The stunning location of their pitch was right on the beachfront with yachts and cruise ships passing by.

The tourists were quick off the mark and scored within minutes. A second try followed quickly and all the coaches and supporters were fearful that the game was about to become a rout.

But the hosts intercepted and scored which gave them the confidence they needed and they started to compete in all areas preventing Hornets from having it all their own way.

Hornets scored two more before CNPN scored two of their own and with half-time approaching, Hornets scored again to give an interval score of 29-17.

A well-deserved break for plenty of water and a cool down gave the players a boost of energy. They scored a further eight tries and conceded two in the second half ending up with a 75-27 victory.

The game was played in great spirits with the tourists fully entertaining their travelling supporters, both on and certainly off the field.
