Jake Caulfield returns to Bristol Rugby Club from London Irish.

FORMER Priory Community School pupil Jake Caulfield is Bristol Rugby Club’s latest addition to the academy, returning to the club from London Irish.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest front row prospects in the country, having represented England at Under-16 and 17 levels.

Jake impressed at schoolboy and national level before signing for London Irish’s academy side. Despite a successful spell with the Exiles, the tighthead prop jumped at the chance to become Liam Middleton’s first signing as head coach.

“I have always wanted to play for Bristol Rugby since I was a young boy. I enjoyed my two seasons at London Irish, but game time was few and far between. Liam [Middleton] gave me an opportunity to fight for a first-team spot and it was a chance I didn’t want to miss.

“I already know the support and coaching the young players get here is top-notch. This is where I started and to kick off my career with Bristol would be fantastic.”
