A trio of Weston Under-16 players represented Somerset in games against Bristol Schools.

Three of Weston’s Under-16 squad represented Somerset RFU in games against Bristol Schools at a wet Bristol Grammar School sports ground.

Euan Braidwood, Kyron Pearce and Andrew Turner all put in good performances and were a credit to the club.

Braidwood played in his familiar position in the second row in the first of the day’s games. His hard work at the breakdown, tackling and good positional play helped to ensure that Somerset gradually gained the upper hand in an evenly-contested game which they went on to win.

Turner played the position of prop and Pearce inside centre in the second game against Bristol schools. Both players made a positive contribution to the Somerset team.
