Uphill Badminton Club lost the second friendly encounter against the Avon squad.

Uphill Badminton Club took on the Avon squad in a second summer five-a-side men’s friendly.

The team of Paul Edwards, Matt Cole, Mark Edwards, James Sole and Robin Curry all put up a good fight and gained some vital match practice ahead of the new winter campaign.

After a full two hours of close matches, Avon edged the match 14-6 in a match that could easily have gone either way.

Junior coaching resumes on September 9. Sessions take place at Hans Price every Saturday in three hour sessions from 2.30-5.30pm. New players are always welcome, especially in the five to 13 age range.
