Weston Aerobic Gymnastics is proud to announce that six gymnasts from the club have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2018 world championships in Portugal.

After a two-day trial in front of a panel of expert judges, the gymnasts were picked to represent their country against more than 40 countries who will all be fielding their best gymnasts in an effort to be crowned world champion

Huge congratulations go to the following gymnasts and their coaches.

In the age 12-14 category - female individual: Lola Lawrence and Nancy Law. Trio: Lawrence, Bella Styles and Molly Brown. Group: Lawrence, Styles, Brown, Law, Seren Jones.

Senior 18+ category - individual male: Rhys Williams.

Lead coach Kat Saunders said this is the result of a robust four-year programme which has been implemented by the coaching team, tremendous hard work and commitment from the gymnasts and total support from parents and families.

Weston AGC has a great history of success internationally, winning gold medals at world cups and making finals at world championships.

This will be the club’s fourth world championships and the team will be working hard until May when they join the rest of the GB squad to travel to Portugal.
