Students from Weston TAGB Tae Kwon Club Club picked up medals at the West of England Championships held at Hutton Moor.

Weston TAGB Tae Kwon Do Club hosted 467 competitors at Hutton Moor last Sunday for the West of England TAG Tae Kwon Do Championships.

Students as young as six travelled from across the South West to take part in competitive sparring, patterns and for the black belts breaking boards.

The Weston club came away with a two silver trophies for black belt - Lucy Macklin and Owen Lockyer in their sparring divisions, while Owen won bronze in the junior patterns event.

Saturday had seen a black belt patterns event with 257 training together. Master Dew 8th Dan from Locking, who hosted the event, commented on the great standard of sportsmanship and competitiveness across the weekend.

During the weekend, £760 was collected in support of Chemo Hero.
