Cheddar judoka Toby Attwood returned to action after 18 months out to earn a silver medal at the Heart of England National Judo Championships.

After 18 months out with a blood virus, Cheddar judoka Toby Attwood, aged 18, got back on the fighting scene at the Heart of England National Judo Championships held in Walsall, Birmingham.

In a new Under-21 age category since he last competed, Toby got off to a good start by winning a hard first round match. He continued his good form and after another three hard-fought victories, Toby was into the final.

Unfortunately for Toby, the final proved one fight too many, but won a fantastic silver medal on his return.

Many thanks go to Kings Fitness and Leisure in Cheddar, who allow Toby to train in their fantastic facilities. Also thanks to Cheddar Youth Trust, for their continued support.
