THE Vixens netball team are on the lookout for more players for the upcoming winter league.

Having only set up last October, the club has gone from strength to strength and now has 10-15 ladies training every Thursday.

There is a real mixture of ages and abilities in the team, with some returning to netball after a break from the game and other having not played since leaving school.

The Vixens joined the Weston & District Summer League, which was a bit of a learning curve and are now ready to join the winter league.

The ladies have managed to secure a sponsor in The Terrace Café Bar in Marine Lake and thanks go to Pete and Mandy for the new kit.

There is a fundraising event on Saturday involving karaoke, barbecue, prize raffle and games to help raise funds. Any donations for the raffle or for the kitty would be very welcome.

For further information, contact Emma Evans on 07971 751225.
