Weston youngsters win at Cheddar

Weston Tennis Club’s Under-8 team finished first overall at a tournament held at Cheddar.

Weston Tennis Club Under-8 tennis players, Ashton Laverty, Adam Kolbeinsen, William Burnett and Alec Doyle recently took part in a mini red ball tournament at Cheddar where they played in a group comprising three teams from local clubs.

All Weston players did well to win their singles matches and also two out of three doubles matches.

There were some outstanding performances and Weston managed to achieve first place overall. The other teams Brent Knoll and Cheddar played their part in an enjoyable afternoon run by tournament organiser Stephen Pearce.
