SPLIT into four age-related sections, the Boys' Brigade caters for boys and men of different ages and with different interests.
The aim of the voluntary, Christian youth organisation is to help members develop mentally and physically.
The lads of 1st Weston Boys' Brigade are currently working towards a new award scheme called the Discovery Programme.
It covers topics including community and adventure and activities include digital photography, music composition and creative artwork.
They will also talk about money and how to manage a budget.
There are also opportunities for games such as pool, table tennis and badminton.
The group's officer Nick Lawrence said: "The brigade is different to cubs or scouts as a number of topics are included in gaining one badge.
"However, I think it is just as interesting.
"I don't think many people realise that boys don't have to be religious to join.
"We are currently looking for more members aged between five and 10."
For older members, the topics covered include learning life skills and they are also given the chance to work towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award or a Young Volunteer Award.
Adam Chinn and Jonathan Brownett of the Weston group have recently been handed a Queen's Badge, which they received after completing all the badges in the association.
The Boys' Brigade celebrated its 175th anniversary this month, after the first branch was established in Glasgow in 1883.
The worldwide movement now has more than 500,000 members and it is currently working with about 60,000 children and young people in the UK.
Nick said: "Our motto is Sure and Steadfast.
"We have an excellent reputation for providing a safe environment for young people to enjoy activities."
