A Murder Of Rooks, one of the big hits of FolkFest 2011, will entertain the audience this evening (Thurs).

Usually a trio, the Rooks will be playing as a duo featuring the deep and atmospheric vocals of Isobel Morris with the hypnotic guitar playing of Jim Kimberley.

They will be covering a series of British classics in the Victoria Street club such as Three Ravens, The Handsome Cabin Boy and Never Came He.

Having received glowing reviews in The Times and The Wire, and being courted by several top folk labels, Isobel and Jim bring indie intensity to their work, as well as a little humour and charisma.

The event will start at 8pm. Tickets, priced £4, are available on the night or by calling the club on 01278 785365.
