IN A FOLLOW-UP to the hit movie Journey to the 
Centre of the Earth, 3D adventure Journey 2: The 
Mysterious Island, (PG), draws the audience into a 
new adventure of coded messages and unknown 
lands.

The sequel follows young Sean Anderson, again played by Josh Hutcherson, on a quest to uncover the source of a distress signal - received from an island which, by all accounts, should not exist.

It is a place of strange forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes and a myriad of unbelievable secrets.

And although Sean’s new stepfather Hank, played by Dwayne Johnson (from The Fast and the Furious Five), initially tries to stop him from leaving, he and his 
strong-willed daughter, Vanessa Hudgens (from High School Musical), join the quest.

Together with a helicopter pilot they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before the island and treasure is buried under the sea forever.
