A care home art group is holding its second exhibition in Weston-super-Mare.

Acer House Care Home, in Milton Road, has been running an art group for three years.

Patricia Eyre, from Acer House, said: “Tuesday afternoons have become an immovable appointment for those who regularly come along, and woe betide any visitor who dares to show their face during an art class and, if they do dare, they are quite likely to get roped in.

“The important point of the art group is for those who attend to feel included, supported and encouraged and to finish the afternoon with a sense of pride and achievement.

“We aim to push gently at the art group’s boundaries, inviting them to step outside their comfort zone.”

The exhibition will be held at Rowan Tree Tea Room, at the Old Town Quarry in South Road until January 25.

The tea room is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30am-4.30pm.
