A local artist is displaying some of her work at a popular theatre in Burnham-on-Sea until mid-September.

Lympsham-based artist Margaret Riordan will show off her talent at a one-woman exhibition.

She has sold more than 300 pieces of her art across the UK, Europe and North America.

She enjoys painting in a range of mediums but says she particularly loves painting the human form.

She said: “I like doing portraits and I love capturing the movement of people dancing, playing sport.

“I seek my inspiration from Jack Vettriano and I adore David Downton, the fashion illustrator.”

Margaret also enjoys painting horses, buildings, scenes and transport, she said ‘if it is there, I want to paint it’.

The art exhibition will be at the Princess Theatre, which is in Princess Road, from 10am-3pm each day until September 9.

There will be free wi-fi and parking at the venue.
