The ‘wonderful’ efforts of North Somerset artists will be showcased at a charitable event in Congresbury.

Tutor Dawn Cox has organised for her students to put more than 400 paintings and drawings on show at The Old School Rooms this weekend.

She said: “I’m very proud of all the hard work that everyone has done in preparation for this exhibition.

“The quality of the work is wonderful.

“It is a demonstration of the super talent we have in the area.

“We will have amazing homemade cakes in our pop-up café, a tombola, Christmas cards and jewellery (for sale).

“Lots of things to give you a head start for Christmas, and for a good cause.”

The exhibition will run from 10am-4pm tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

Money raised from the event will be split between WaterAid and Weston Hospicecare.
