A world-class comedian will delight fans when he takes to the stage to perform his hilarious jokes and insights during a show at the Bristol Hippodrome next month.

Dara O Briain is one of the most recognisable faces on British television, hosting topical panel show Mock The Week and BBC Two’s Stargazing Live and Robot Wars.

He is making a welcome return to the stage to go back to his roots as a stand-up comedian.

Dara began touring earlier this year with his new show Voice Of Reason – treating audiences across the UK to his supersonic wit and provocative observations.

Dara is one of the most charismatic, intelligent and fast-talking live performers and his show has been winning rave reviews from critics.

A review by the Guardian states ‘his set is a masterclass in intelligent, no-frills stand-up’ and the Times concluded ‘if you want a comic who can hold an audience in the palm of his hand for two hours, here’s your man’.

As well as his adept comedic work, Dara is one of the most in demand faces on British TV as host of BBC Two’s hugely successful Mock The Week, Stargazing Live, Robot Wars and Dave’s Go8Bit.

Dara has also previously released five classic stand-up DVDs with Universal Pictures UK – Crowd Tickler, Craic Dealer, This Is The Show, Dara O Briain Talks Funny Live In London and Dara O Briain Live At The Theatre Royal – all of which have also aired on BBC television as one-hour specials.

He has also branched into children’s fiction and his first book Beyond The Sky: You And The Universe, was released last year by Scholastic UK.

Dara’s tour started in February and runs through to December.

The Irish funnyman is guaranteed to leave audiences in stitches with his entertaining witticisms and astute observations.

An Evening Standard reviewer rated his show as ‘sharp wit from a superfit mind’.

To see the much-loved comedian back on stage, make sure you book now, as tickets are expected to sell out fast.

Dara is performing on two nights next month, on September 27 and 28, at the venue in St Augustines Parade.

The stand-up shows will start at 8pm.

Tickets, priced £27.15, are available on 0844 871012 or they can also be bought online at
