STAND-UP comedian Simon Brodkin is reawakening his alter-ego Lee Nelson for a performance in Weston.
Nelson will be bringing his latest show, Suited And Booted, to The Playhouse in the autumn.
Due to exceptional demand this brand new show has been extended into autumn 2015 and Weston’s Playhouse Theatre has been included in the line-up of dates.
You may have seen him host Live At The Apollo, on his self-titled TV programme Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show or caught him singing on the X Factor, or even sparking controversy as he tried to board the plane to the World Cup with the England squad – he has certainly built up a reputation for himself in the past few years.
In character as Lee Nelson, Brodkin also briefly stood as a candidate in the South Shields by-election in 2013.
But now, with experience behind him, he has ditched the baseball cap and tracksuits and you are invited to see the world through Lee’s eyes as he talks about the big issues of family, fatherhood, politics – and the true value of the Cadbury’s Creme Egg.
Lee Nelson will be at the High Street venue on September 18 from 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £22, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or online via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
