PEOPLE are being invited to dress up as Minions from the Despicable Me film franchise to get a free cinema ticket.

Weston’s Odeon cinema has 1,000 vouchers to give away this weekend.

The vouchers enable children to go to a film for free alongside an adult throughout the summer holidays.

In order to get a voucher, people must buy an adult ticket at the cinema while dressed up as one of the unusual yellow creatures from the Minions movie.

The vouchers are valid from July 24 until August 30.

This weekend, the cinema is also holding its annual Sunshine Day in aid of The Variety Club and NSPCC charities.

There will be face-painting, give-aways and cake and film poster sales.

There will also be a raffle.

The Variety Club and NSPCC both support children, by providing specialist equipment and fighting to end child abuse.
