The sequel to a critically-acclaimed comedy espionage film is set to hit cinemas this week, and the Mercury has two pairs of tickets up for grabs.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle was released on Friday, boasting an all-star cast.

Director Matthew Vaughn hopes the film can build on the success of Kingsman: The Secret Service, which earned rave reviews from critics and introduced the world to Kingsman – an independent intelligence agency covertly operating to keep the world safe.

Colin Firth, of Bridget Jones and The King’s Speech fame, and up-and-coming actor Taron Egerton return once again in starring roles, with Hollywood regulars Halle Berry and Channing Tatum also featuring prominently.

Egerton plays new rookie spy Eggsy Unwin, who is transformed from an aimless nobody with no ambition to world-class spy by mentor Harry Hart – played by Firth.

But, after averting a crisis in the first film, the heroes face a new challenge when their headquarters is destroyed and an evil organisation – The Golden Circle – takes control of society.

But help is at hand in the form of allied United States-based spy organisation Statesman.

The teams of elite spies work in tandem to serve as the world’s last hope, but will their efforts be enough to save society as we know it?

The Mercury has teamed up with Weston Odeon, in The Centre, to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to see Kingsman: The Golden Circle at a time of your choice.
